Town of Mattawamkeag is seeking bids for the lease of the Mattawamkeag
Wilderness Park for the upcoming season from April 1, 2026 thru March
31, 2027.
Please submit all bids by 4:00 p.m. on February 13, 2026 to Town of Mattawamkeag P.O. Box 260, Mattawamkeag, ME 04459.
Bids will be opened at the Select-board meeting on February 16, 2026 at 7:00 p.m.

The Recreation area
pavilion has had a major upgrade thanks to a grant the advisory board received.
The area around the pavilion has been increased and the floor has been
resurfaced with compact gravel. Electricity has been run from the rec hall and
the pavilion now has overhead lighting and receptacles around the perimeter to
enhance any activities in the pavilion. We also have a portable sanitary sink
for events that require it.
Long term the Advisory
Board is hoping to improve the trail system with more accessible trails for
seniors and restoring the extended trail system
